With the circle at its heart the "Four Seasons" series is slowly emerging.
So far spring has sprung and summer has unfolded, but this is just the start of a series which will eventually be comprised of twelve pieces - each an independent piece and each a part of the whole.
Four Seasons
Each season will eventually be made up of three pieces, early spring, mid spring and late spring etc. Each of these pieces will feature a "Spirit"/ "Goddess",/"Queen" surrounded by the trappings of her station. To date, I have created early spring entitled "Her Majestic Spring Attire" and early summer or "Le temps des cerises", the latter borrowing its title from an old French song, which celebrates "The time of the Cherries" when love is to be found and hearts are broken.
These pieces went through innumerable variations and changes before I settled on one the final version, I have included some of these stages and steps here, to give a feel for my creative process.
The four season pieces are 30" in diameter, printed on aluminium and finished with a high gloss varnish for a stunning glass like look.
